ABOUT US

We are a group of family-run, independently-owned garden centres, conveniently located in East Sussex. We have been serving the local community for 39 years since 1982. We continue to maintain strong links in the area building on our reputation for providing top quality gardening products and premium plants underpinned by our keen desire to serve our customers with respect and friendliness, sharing our expert knowledge wherever possible.

Our garden centre has seen enormous change over recent years and the feedback from customers has been invaluable. Our newly developed restaurant area is a highly desirable place for friends and family to meet, dine and unwind. The ambience of the garden centre echoes the core values of Blackbrooks heritage and you will find well designed display areas positioned thoughtfully throughout the centre providing space and comfort for our customers.

Where it all began

Our History

Blackbrooks was started by Ron Winchester and his son back in 1982 with the aim of providing top class gardening products and quality grown plants to the neighbouring community and beyond. Over the years as customer demands for products and plants grew so the garden centre’s merchandise became more varied and wide.

Mark Winchester is the third generation owner and shares his Grandfather’s and Father’s passion for an unrivalled customer experience, introducing new product lines, building an award winning restaurant with modern customer facilities, expanding the outdoor plant area, launching new departments across furniture, clothing, gifts and food and providing a generous loyalty scheme to reward loyal customers. And there’s more yet to come!
